PLAY MAT SAFETY
Do your mats meet international safety standards?
Our mats are made of the highest quality non-toxic EVA foam. They’re BPA, lead, and phthalate free. They’ve also passed the rigorous EU Toy Directive and US Safety Standard requirements with flying colours, so you can rest assured your tots aren’t being exposed to any nasties.
WANT A BIGGER PLAY MAT
I’d like a bigger playmat. Can I join two together?
For sure! Multiple packs will fit seamlessly together so you can make your mat as large as you like. Gorgeous!
CLEANING + CARE FOR YOUR PLAY MAT
What can I use to give my mat a good clean?
Use a gentle cleaner like dishwashing liquid with a dab of water, or white spirit vinegar on a clean, soft cloth or sponge. Please don’t use any harsh chemicals or alcohol-based products that could damage your playmat or be toxic to little humans. Be sure to let the mat dry completely or wipe it down with a dry cloth after cleaning.
Can we use our foam play mat outdoors?
ARK Playmats are designed to be used indoors, but many people take them outside too. Packing your mat up and reassembling it is really quick and easy, so to make it last and keep it looking pristine, if you do take it outside, we recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight and rain. Damp grass may also cause stains and affect the buoyancy of the foam over time.
Where should the play mat be used?
Inside or under cover is recommended. However, your mat can be used anywhere you like. Kitchen, living room, bedroom. Our designs are seamless, so your mat will look like a rug that blends in beautifully.
Can adults walk on the play mat?
ARK Playmats welcome adults walking, kneeling, and interacting on them. But please avoid the pressure of sharp objects like heeled shoes or heavy objects like adult chairs or gym equipment. They’re likely to puncture the foam or leave a permanent indent.
Are our playmats made for pets too?
Pets claws may scratch and damage your playmat. It is not recommended for the use of pets.
Can I use a heater on the mat when its cold ?
Any exposure to heat whether is a heater or direct sunlight will damage your play mat and cause the print to lift and peel off.
CUSTOMER CARE
What happens if I receive a damaged playmat?
Our products undergo rigorous quality assurance testing so you really shouldn’t! But mistakes do happen. If you receive a damaged playmat, it’s important that you please let us know within 48 hours of receiving your order.
DELIVERY OF YOUR PLAY MAT
What is your delivery process?
Our online orders are dispatched on Tuesdays and Thursdays (except South African Public Holidays).
You may have your order delivered to a home, office, or hotel address. All our deliveries require a signature on receipt so we don’t ship to PO Box addresses (your mat wouldn’t fit in any case!)
Sharing your phone number at checkout makes it easier for the courier to get in touch with you if needed.
CAN I USE MULTIPLE DISCOUNT OR PROMO CODES?
Nope! Only one discount will apply to an order at a time.
Unfortunately these discount codes are not stackable and cannot be used in conjunction with each other or any other promotional codes.
